Inventory turns your products and variants into sellable stock records. It tracks quantities by location and records every adjustment, sale, return, receipt, transfer, and count in a movement ledger. Open Inventory to review items and stock health.

Understand the overview

The summary shows sellable items, available units, reserved units, low-stock or out-of-stock items, and stock value. Search or filter by product, variant, SKU, barcode, category, status, or location. Each product without variants—or each variant of a variable product—has its own inventory item. Available stock is the amount that can still be sold after reservations are deducted from on-hand quantity.

Configure an item

Open an inventory item to set:
  • barcode
  • cost price and currency
  • low-stock threshold
  • reorder point and reorder quantity
  • preferred supplier
  • whether quantity is tracked
  • whether sales can backorder beyond available stock
Product price, SKU, image, and variant identity come from the product catalog. Saving a product without variants—or saving each variant of a variable product—creates or updates the matching inventory item.

Adjust stock

Use Adjust stock for a controlled manual correction:
  1. choose the location
  2. add or remove a quantity
  3. choose a reason such as count correction, stock received, damaged, lost, customer return, or other
  4. add an internal note when it will help the audit trail
Use purchase-order receiving, transfers, and inventory counts for those real operations. Reserve manual adjustments for corrections that do not belong to a more specific workflow.

Set up locations and suppliers

Open Inventory Operations and use Setup to manage stock locations and suppliers. Give locations and suppliers stable names and codes so purchase orders, transfers, and counts remain easy to audit.

Replenishment and purchase orders

The Replenishment tab suggests items whose available stock is at or below their reorder point. Suggestions account for quantities already outstanding on placed purchase orders. Create a purchase order as a draft, add supplier and destination details, then place it. Receive items when they arrive; partial receiving is supported, so you can record multiple deliveries against one order.

Transfers

Use Transfers to move stock between locations:
  • create the transfer in draft
  • ship it to deduct the shipped quantity from the source
  • receive it to add the received quantity to the destination
Partial receiving is supported. Keep the transfer open until the destination has accounted for the full shipment.

Inventory counts

Use Counts for full, cycle, or spot counts. Starting a count captures the expected quantity. Enter the observed quantity for each line and complete the count to post only the variance to the movement ledger.
Review every variance before completing a count. Completion changes stock and preserves the result as an auditable inventory movement.
Open InventoryLabels to select items and print barcode or QR labels. Make sure the item’s barcode is saved before generating barcode labels.
